Silver: *is watching the small trailer for the season 6 premiere before seeing Starlight Glimmer* Ugh! Her again… why does she have to be a mainstay in the series? Geez… Y’know, I didn’t like her change to good in the first place because it felt so forced, and now she is in the main cast for real?! UGH!! Y’know what, this needs a review in it of itself… let’s see… who should I collab with on this? *looks through the list of writing partners* Hmm… haven’t done too much with Sean, so why not. *presses the button for Seanzilla before jumping into the air*

*meanwhile*

SZ: *looks through various PS3 games* hmm...what to play...One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3, Blazblue Chrono Phantasma, Kingdom Hearts 2.5...hmm…*hears something falling from the sky* eh?

Silver: RIDER KICK!!! *lands on top of Sean*

SZ: Oof! *groans a bit before i look up to see Silver*0-o..S...Silver?! What the faiz?!

Silver: Sorry, had to keep the running gag alive. xD *dusts himself off* More to the point, shall we talk about… THAT?

SZ: *gets up* Talk about what? *frowns a bit* It’s not a certain show that shall not be named, is it? Because I’m not going anywhere near that thing after they mocked DBZ in one episode.

Silver: No, not THAT. The other THAT. The episode of a certain show that we like…

SZ:...Oh...you mean the season 5 finale. I liked...despite having a few irks in it for me.

Silver: Oh? What’s that?

SZ: Well for one...Starlight’s redemption.

Silver: Oh… yeah, I hated that too. Though, I feel a lot more negative about things, so… close enough… but it would be easier if we had a third party who actually liked the episode…

SZ: Well I kinda liked it...and not sure who else we could get. KKD’s probably busy, Pika’s still in school, and I don’t know what Tokubrony’s doing.

TB: IYAAAAA~~~!!! MOVE, MOVE, MOVE, MOVE, MOOOOOOOOOOVE!

SZ: Huh? *looks up before paling a bit* oh no…

TB: GET OUT THE WAY, GET OUT THE WAY, GET OUT THE WAY, MOOOOOOOOOVE~!!!

Silver: Huh? *gets hit by TB falling on him* Oof!

TB: Damn it, I thought I mastered falling and entering. Xl

Silver: *throws TB off him, causing TB to goofy scream before falling on top of Sean* What the hell, dude?!? That’s my thing!!

TB: I didn’t even know you HAD a thing.

SZ: ...TB, can you please get off me?

TB: Oh, sorry. *sits up, rubbing his posterior* Been awhile, hasn’t it Silver.

Silver: Yeah, I guess. Been busy lately.

TB: So! There must be reason for why we’re here today.

SZ: *gets up, rubbing sore back a bit* He wants to do a collab review on the Season 5 finale of MLP:FiM.

Silver: That damn finale needs to be put to rest! It SUCKED! xS

TB: Whoa, there, nelly. Don’t you think that’s a bit harsh? I will admit, the Cutie Re-Mark had its flaws, but it wasn’t a horrible finale. We had worse episodes *cough* Princess Spike! *cough*

SZ: I can think of worse than that. *cough* Party Pooped! *cough*

Silver: OI! No hating on Spike! That wasn’t his fault! And Party Pooped was only HALF-bad. Pinkie Pie was still as good as ever in that.

TB: Of course. Pinkie Pie, even in a bad episode, makes it worth it.

SZ: True...but still, that doesn’t excuse the horrid behavior of those Yaks!

Silver: I will agree. And yeah, I hated the Yaks. Still, we’re going on a tangent, so let’s break this sh*YAY!* fest wide open. This is the Cutie Re-Mark.

---

-The Premise-

TB: So, let’s get the obvious out of the way. After… how many episodes has it been between Cutie Map and Cutie Re-Mark?

Silver: Let’s see… 22? I just take 26 and subtract 4.

TB: Okay, after 22 episodes, Starlight Glimmer comes back for REVENGE!!

SZ: Hoo… before the finale began, I could not stand her, especially that equalist philosophy of hers!

Silver: Honestly, I wanted more backstory from her… and not to spoil anything, what I got from this episode did not help in the slightest. Anyways, writing this episode is Josh Haber, who… what has he written again?

TB: Castle Mane-ia, Simple Ways, Leap of Faith, and Bloom and Gloom.

Silver: So… forgettable, forgettable, forgettable, and mildly okay? Well, that’s a great omen for what’s to come…

TB: Hey, Simple Ways was great.

Silver: Seriously? It’s just Rarity and AJ fighting over some guy. If I wanted that, I’d go watch Miraculous Ladybug. *shows an image of the latest episode of Miraculous Ladybug, Volpina*

SZ: To be fair, AJ seemed hardly interested in the guy, so it was more of a one sided rivalry.

TB: Moving on, Josh Haber has been known for, according to Voice of Reason, taking previous bad episodes and fixing them.

Silver: What’s THAT supposed to mean?

TB: Simple Ways fixed Mysterious Mare-Do-Well’s moral without having the characters being vindictive. (Silver: Seriously, why does everyone complain about that F*YAY!*ing episode?) He fixed Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 with Leap of Faith’s return of the Flim Flam Brothers. (Silver: I still found them kinda forgettable villains) Castle Mane-ia fixed the antics and paranoid behavior of the Mane 6 by putting them in the classic and comedic haunted house setting. (Silver: I will admit, the Scooby-Doo-esque antics made me chuckle.)

SZ: Can we just move onto the plot, please?

Silver: Fine, fine. Enough stalling.

-The Plot-

TB: So the episode begins with Twilight practicing a lecture she’s going to give to magic students.

Silver: Poor Spike. I know that he’s loyal to Twi and all, but having to sit through lectures to help her must be torturous…

TB: Not as torturous as Psycho Twilight. *snickers* Anyway, after the intro… *notices somepony* *in Tommy Wiseau voice* Oh hai, Moon Dancer.

Silver: THE ITALIAN VERSION OF THE THEME IS BETTER! Oh, hey, it’s Moon Dancer. Wonder what she’s doing here…

SZ: Probably to catch up and listen to what Twilight has to say.

Silver: Good to see those two are good friends again. Anyways, there’s a small call back to the Cutie Mark Chronicles, before…

*clip*

*As Twilight talks, the camera pans over to the unicorns before seeing a glimpse of Starlight Glimmer in the crowd, making the violet Alicorn double take before she looked through the crowd again, seeing Starlight no longer there*

TB: *singsong* I smell something sinister afoot~.

Silver: Oh boy… here we go…

TB: After the lecture, Twilight and Spike walk back to the castle with the alicorn princess looking like she saw a ghost.

*clip*

Twilight: “Honestly, Spike, I’m not really sure what I saw… but as long as I have my friends, I know everything will be alright.”

SZ: Just wait until you get to your castle, Twilight. You got an ‘interesting’ surprise waiting for you there.

*clip*

*The scene shows Twilight walking in, only to be in shock to see Starlight sitting in one of the chairs*

Starlight: “Welcome home, Twilight.”

TB: *black guy voice* Surprise, mother*YAY!*er!

Silver: *slaps TB* No! Bad Brony who likes Toku! Bad!

TB: Oh, HOW COULD I PASS THAT REFERENCE UP!?!

Silver: And stop overusing caps! *slaps him again*

TB: Slap me again, I’ll powerbomb you. *gives the ‘I’m watching you’ sign* So, Starlight’s in her castle, she’s got Twilight and Spike in her sights, what does she do?

SZ: She pulls out a scroll and uses her magic on it, which causes the map to let out a portal. After she tosses the scroll away before heading into the portal.

Silver: Seriously?! What is up with villains and not killing their enemies right when they have them in their sights?! ...Though, to be fair, Twilight could just zap her into oblivion…

TB: That would make this a very short episode. Regardless, Twilight and Spike read the scroll and get pulled into the portal as well.

*as the clip of them being sucked into the portal plays, Silver is playing the rewind time control sound effect from Blinx: The Time Sweeper*

Silver: What? It fits.

TB: I would’ve also preferred this… *presses a button that plays the Twilight Zone theme* ...or this… *presses another one to play the X-Files theme*

Silver: But those have nothing to do with time at all!

SZ: Guys, focus!

TB: Right, right. The portal ends up taking them *epic, deep voice* Back to the Past! *Doc Brown voice* Great Scott!!

SZ: ...Ahem, yes. They end up back in time, specifically the flight camp Rainbow and Fluttershy were at when they were fillies.

Silver: And before Twilight and Spike can stop Starlight… this happens.

*The clip shows Starlight hiding behind a cloud before shooting out a spell to stop Young Rainbow Dash in her tracks.*

Young Rainbow Dash: “Hey! What’s going on?!”

SZ: ...Yup. She stopped the Rainboom. Which means only one… no, SIX things. Without the Rainboom… well…

*The clip shows the Mane Six’s futures changing without the Rainboom*

TB: Honestly, this bit had me like ‘No, no, no, no, no!’ the first time I watched it. The next time I was like that would be what happened in the end of Volume 3 of RWBY.

Silver: *starts to tear up* Don’t remind me of that… *cries*

SZ: *whimpers* Yang looked so broken…

Silver: I know, right? T-T

TB: Okay, okay. *puts hand on chest as he inhales, then moves it forward as he exhales* Let’s try to move on. Maybe things will get better in Volume 4.

Silver: R-Right… anyways, Twilight gets dragged back into the future…

*clip shows Twilight getting brought back to the future, with Silver playing the Fast Forward Time Control sound effect from Blinx this time*

TB: *epic voice* Back to the Present! *normal voice* And this is where the headcannons fly!

SZ: Eeyup. To see what TB means… well.. to put it simply, things are...different. And I don’t mean like a small change or anything. I’m talking BIG.

TB: Ink Rose explains these changes better than we do. Twilight and Spike come back to find that things have changed vastly, as Sean put it.

Silver: Geez… this looks like Hell...

TB: *in Doc Brown voice* No, it’s Ponyville. Although I can’t imagine Hell being much worse.

SZ: Yeah...When Twilight finds her friend Applejack, who (and this is just me) should’ve reacted to the fact Twilight was an Alicorn, and learns that Celestia has been at war with King Sombra, who’s pretty much taken over most of Equestria.

Silver: Okay, hold up! This is my first point of contention. If the Mane 6 never got their Cutie Marks, then wouldn’t it be Nightmare Moon who takes over first?! Why the hell is Sombra in control?!

TB: Watch Joshscorcher’s review of this, Ink Rose gives a good explanation for this timeline.

Silver: Whatever. I’m gonna play some Chrono Trigger. *pulls out 3DS*

SZ: ...Yeah… we also see what happens to the rest of the Mane 6 in the Sombra timeline, such as…

*shows an image of Sombra timeline Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Maud Pie fighting in a war*

TB: Holy sh*YAY!*, when did this suddenly turn into Mad Max: Fury Road!?

Silver: Never seen Mad Max.

TB: So, in this timeline, there’s a war between the ponies and Sombra, and even the Royal Sisters lost?

SZ: No no. Celestia is the one leading the charge against Sombra. As for where Luna is… well, I’m guessing since there was nopony around to purify Luna, Celestia had to use the Elements of Harmony again to seal her back in the moon.

Silver: Yeah. Honestly, I don’t get why in this timeline Celestia doesn’t get jumped by Nightmare Moon… though, this could just mean the first episode she LET herself get kidnapped so Twi and company could get the Elements and purify her… then that’d just be lazy of Tia. -_-

SZ: Yeah…

TB: So after timeline #1, Twilight and Spike try again to go *epic voice* Back to the Past! *normal voice* to stop Starlight.

Silver: *plays Retry sound effect from Blinx*

SZ: Why do you keep playing that soundtrack?

Silver: They’re just harmless sound effects…

TB: Yeah, but it’s getting kinda grating. Also, here’s a question that Pika asked before, if the Mane 6 never got their Cutie Marks… then why do they still have them?

SZ: Well my guess is they still kinda figure out their destinies, but in a different way.

Silver: That’s stupid. -_- Regardless, Twilight is ready to fight Starlight this time, except…

*clip of Starlight freezing Twilight in place, with Silver playing the Pause sound effect from Blinx*

SZ and TB: SILVER!!

Silver: Sorry, sorry. I’ll stop now…

SZ: Right… ahem. But yeah… Starlight was ready for Twilight. And after sealing her up in stone, she pretty much states WHY she’s doing this..

TB: Even though we already know why! Plus, CinemaSins always points this out… WHY DON’T YOU KILL HER ALREADY!?

SZ: ...Moving on. Basically… Starlight is getting payback by making sure Twilight and her friends never meet. Cutie Marks for Cutie Marks beings a ‘fair’ trade… yeah, and the destruction of Equestria being a major error. So congrats, Starlight. You just destroyed the future, along with your ‘equalist’ town.

TB: Starlight doesn’t care. She is hell bent on her revenge, and she’s willing to stay in the past to deal with her however many times she wants.

Silver: Another point of contention… why don’t we see an aged Starlight in the future? I mean, then it’d tie things together a bit better with her showing up in the bad future…

TB: Kinda like the Telltale Back to the Future game.

SZ: Yeah… my guess is she tried to rebuild her equalist cult, but Celestia caught wind of her plans and decided to deal with her herself.

TB: Good point. Now after Twilight and Spike save themselves, they go to stop Starlight, only to find her talking with Young Fluttershy and the bullies and… helping them become friends?

SZ: I can see where this goes. Since the bullies start to be nice, the conflict wouldn't happen, and… well, you can guess the rest.

Silver: You magnificent bastard, I read your book!

SZ: Yup. Basically here, Starlight managed to turn friendship against Twilight… wow. What a manipulative b*yay*ch.

TB: That is how a smart villain plays! Take the thing the hero is best at and use it against said hero! It also doesn’t help that Twilight tries to convince the Young Rainbow Dash to perform the Rainboom while coming off as unintentionally creepy.

TFS!Gohan: Uh… I need an adu-

TFS!Guru: I AM AN ADULT~!

TB: So it’s *epic voice* Back to the Present! *normal voice* and in timeline #2… To be continued, what!?

*shows the to be continued clip with Stardust Speedway Act 3 from Sonic CD playing in the background*

SZ: Yup. TBC… for only a few minutes.

Silver: I’m surprised you guys didn’t say anything about my choice of music. Still, I love the Stardust Speedway theme against Metal Sonic… the bad future one, of course…

SZ: *nods* Anyway, we pick up where the first part left off, with various ponies (including Pinkie and Fluttershy) pointing spears at Twilight and Spike, accusing them to be Changelings. Ladies and gents, we present to you, the Chrysalis timeline.

TB: We interrupt the Season 5 finale to make you think you’re watching Tarzan for a moment.

Silver: Uh… what? Anyways, it appears that the Changelings have taken over at this point, and… hold the phone! If Twilight and company never got together, then why did Chrysalis want to conquer Canterlot?! Furthermore, what the hell happened to Sombra’s timeline?!

TB: Alternate actions lead to alternate futures. Somebody hasn’t seen Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths.

Silver: Well, yeah! I can’t find that movie anywhere! *I sigh* Regardless, what happened to Cadence and Shining Armor, then? What changed in this time that caused Chrysalis to win?

TB: If the Mane 6 weren’t together, then Chrysalis already succeeded in her takeover of Canterlot before spreading her influence across Equestria. This rebellion spawned from that incident.

SZ: Eeyup. And who’s the leader of said resistance?

*shows an image of Chrysalis timeline Zecora*

Silver: ...Wow. Must admit, I was hoping Zecora would get time in the limelight.

TB: *laughs out loud* Oh my God. *laughs* Look at that mohawk and her Mexican Wrestler-esque war paint! *laughs* That looks ridiculous!

SZ: ...TB, that ‘war paint’ is to make sure you’re not a Changeling or anything.

Silver: Besides, show some respect! That’s Zecora you’re talking about!

TB: Right, right. *clears throat* So, Zecora manages to catch on that Twilight and Spike are not of this timeline while also giving a good metaphor.

*clip*

Zecora: “Time is a river, where even the tiniest changes can lead to a cascade of effects downstream."

TB: I thought time was all wibbly wobbly.

Silver: I understood that reference.

TB: Thank you, Captain America…

SZ: ...Ahem. Anyways, after the group arrives at the resistance's base, the group sees a tired Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity. However...that’s not them. *voice changes to TF2 Heavy* THEY ARE SPIES!

*shows clip of ‘Applejack’ changing into Chrysalis*

SZ: Yeah… as for why they took those forms, and why the three ponies they turned into aren’t here… I have a theory. Chrysalis captured Sweetie Belle, Applebloom, and Scootaloo, used Rarity, AJ, and RD’s love for them, and… well, you can guess the rest.

Silver: Makes sense on paper, but let’s just get on with this, shall we? Twi and Spike get back and this time they’re ready for Starlight…

SZ: Eeyup. And a battle ensues between the two.

TB: FIGHT TIME!! *plays the Mortal Kombat theme*

SZ: Yeah… however, this catches the attention of various ponies, including filly Rainbow Dash and the bullies… WHILE they were racing before they stopped said race to watch.

Silver: *facepalm* Nice job breaking it, Hero. -_-

SZ: *nods* Anyways...since the Rainboom was stopped once more, Twilight and Spike are sent *epic voice* Back to the Present! This time...eternal night, which could mean one thing...this is the Nightmare Moon Timeline!

Silver: Finally, we get to it!! Though, to be perfectly honest, at this point I’m sick of seeing these timelines. When I first heard about this, I was thinking they’d just do one timeline and done, but this is just ridiculous. -_-

TB: Alternate actions, alternate timelines. So, we even see Rarity working as a servant in Nightmare Moon’s castle.

SZ: And Rainbow Dash is a part of Nightmare Moon’s royal guard. And like Twilight, you’re probably wondering where Celestia is in all this… well…

*shows image of the moon, but with a bit of a rainbow hue in it*

TB: Okay, how did THAT work!?

SZ: My guess is that Nightmare Moon managed to corrupt the Elements of Harmony long enough to seal Celestia into the moon before destroying them.

Silver: I honestly don’t care. I’d rather play Fire Emblem Awakening… *is on the 3DS again*

SZ: Right… once Nightmare Moon hears about the time Travel Spell, she demands Twilight to give it to her so she could go back in time to destroy the sun a-woah! That just took a dark turn there!

TB: And Nightmare Moon is using Spike as leverage! Whoa there!

Silver: Eh. Twilight’s got it… ugh, stupid desert slowing my units down. -_-

SZ: ...Anyway, after Twilight and Spike manage to get away, they go back in time to deal with Starlight again. But each time they go back, Starlight turns it around, resulting in different timelines, such as a Tirek timeline, a Discord timeline, a-

*shows the Flim Flam brothers uprooting trees*

TB: A Flim Flam Bros. timeline? I don’t know if that’s funny or stupid.

Silver: Honestly, I’m glad that they fast forwarded through the rest of these in a simple montage. If they didn’t, this’d be a very boring three-parter. Anyways, Starlight keeps getting the upper hand on Twilight, until Twi finally decides she’s had enough and takes Starlight with her to the future, where… Oh my sweet jesus…

*scene shows the latest timeline, now nothing more than a windy desert wasteland*

TB: 0o0 I think all of Equestria has died.

SZ: Yup… my guess… all the baddies faced against each other for control, and they ended up destroying everything, including themselves.

Silver: Oh god… it’s gone. Everything is gone… Starlight, you’ve ruined EVERYTHING!!

TB: But Starlight still doesn’t care, even though her actions resulted in this! There’s being hell bent on revenge, and then there’s just the ‘this whole world is a plague’ kind of ridiculous!

SZ: Agreed… Starlight then takes Twilight and Spike back to the past… but to be precise… HER past.

TB: *epic voice* TIME FOR BACKSTORY~!!

Silver: We finally get to find out why she hates Cutie Marks so much, and… it’s because her best friend got his Cutie Mark before her and moved away… *is seething with anger* ARE YOU F*YAY!*ING SH*YAY!*ING ME?!?!

TB: Uh oh… he’s about to go into rant mode.

Silver: We have been curious about this villain for months, trying to see what her backstory is, and in the end the whole reason why she is like that is because she lost a friend due to unforeseen circumstances?!? That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard!!! Chrysalis’s backstory, as stupid as it is, is a better backstory than this!!! Hell, even Exdeath from Final Fantasy 5 has a better backstory than this STUPID, ASININE EXCUSE FOR A BACKSTORY!!!

TB: It’s very childish, but also too simple of a motivation for Starlight.

SZ: Yeah… I was miffed about this as well.

TB: So, after she expressed herself, they go *epic voice* Back to the Past! *normal voice* one more time. Only this time, she threatens to tear the scroll apart! Oh, are we going to get one last fight scene!? :D

SZ: *speaks in TF2 Engineer voice* Nope.

*clip*

Twilight: “Starlight, you’re right. I don’t know what you went through, but you can’t do this! I’ve seen where it leads, and so have you!”

Starlight: “I only say what you showed me! What else would’ve really happened?!”

Twilight: “I’ve seen it a dozen times. Things don’t turn out well in Equestria without my friends.”

Starlight: “Ugh! What’s SO special about your friends?! How could a group of ponies who’re SO different be SO important?!”

Twilight: “The differences between me and my friends are the very things that make our friendship strong.”

Starlight: “I thought Sunburst and I were the same, but he turned out different, and it tore our friendship apart!”

Twilight: “So try again. Make new friends. And if something you can’t control changes things, then work through it together. That’s what friendship IS. And it’s not just MY friendships that are important to Equestria, everypony’s are. When your’s ended, it lead us here. But just imagine all the others that’re just waiting for you if you just give them a chance?”

Starlight: “How do I know they won’t end the same way?”

Twilight: “I guess it’s up to you to make sure they don’t.”

Starlight:...*hesitates for a moment before putting her hoof around Twilight’s, the scroll for the Time Travel Spell falling down as the Rainboom happened in the background*

TB: Aw~! *facepalms* I thought the climax was going to be like the fight between Yu and Adachi in Persona 4 Golden: The Animation! You know, with Twilight and Starlight giving it everything they got until Twilight knocks Starlight down and then punches her and punches her until collapsing in fatigue! But… *stammers* we get this instead! COME ON!! DX

Silver: It fits better with the show’s theme of friendship. Besides, Starlight has shown brute force can’t beat her, since she’s one step ahead of Twi. Still, that is no excuse for DESTROYING THE WORLD OVER LOSING ONE FRIEND!!!

TB: Snap out of it! *slaps Silver*

Silver: Ow!

TB: You need to learn to control your rants, dude. Besides, the only thing I can defend about that backstory is that it opened the door for Starlight’s redemption and reformation. And I’ll admit, it did kinda make me feel sorry that she ended up the way she did.

Silver: That is no excuse for lazy writing!!

*clip from Guardians of the Galaxy*

Rocket: “EVERYBODY’S got dead people! But it’s no excuse to get everyone else dead along the way!”

Silver: Yeah, what Rocket said!

SZ: Yeah… after that scene, the portal reappears and takes them back to the present, where things are back to normal. But before the portal closes, it takes the time travel scroll with it, and instantly vanishes within a flash of light.

TB: Bye, time travel concept, hope to see you again in a few seasons or so!

Silver: I hope we don’t…

TB: So the five friends come back, Twilight being excited as usual, but naturally the friends are suspicious of Starlight’s presence in the castle. Okay, time for a point of contingence that was pointed out by Silver Quill. The fact that the future and all timelines depended on the Mane 6 just being a group together. Do you think that sounds a bit contrived, Silver?

Silver: ...No. Twi and company played a very important role in saving the world, which most people seem to take for granted. Remember, Nightmare Moon, Discord, Chrysalis, Sombra, and Tirek were all stopped by Twi and the gang. They are just THAT important.

TB: Technically, Spike stopped Sombra but I do see where you’re going. And I do agree.

Silver: Anyway, can we put this b*YAY!* in the dungeon and forget about this damn time travel Hell?

TB: Nope. After having a discussion with the five about what to do with Starlight, Twilight decides to make her her student.

*clip*

Twilight: “If you’re willing to learn, then I’m willing to teach you what I know. You’ll have the power to make Equestria an even better place.”

Silver: …*eye twitches* WHAT?!? ARE YOU F*YAY!*ING KIDDING ME?! SHE ALMOST DESTROYED THE FUTURE AND YOU’RE NOT PUNISHING HER?!? That’s it! I’m done! I’m outta here! *Silver storms out, throwing up his hands in frustration*

SZ: ...Yeah.

TB: I like how this show keeps finding new ways to reform villains. First, Discord, then Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, and now Starlight Glimmer.

SZ: There’s also one of the recent arcs of the IDW MLP comics where… well, Sombra is reformed more or less.

TB: That was the alternate universe arc.

SZ: No no. This happened in the main universe. Not the alternate one.

TB:  So, after our crappy pop song, Season 5 of MLP comes to an end and Season 6 will premiere this Saturday.

-The Bad-

TB: Let’s talk about the cons first before we say anything good. According to Silver here, there’s a lot of cons.

Silver: F*YAY!*. THIS. EPISODE!!

TB: Yes, yes, we know. Look, either you control your rants or you go in the corner.

Silver: Fine. Let’s talk about the reformation first. To be brief, it was really faizing rushed. Seriously, you can’t just pull a 180 like that! It makes things so forced that it really doesn’t work!

TB: The Wonderbolts have suffered the 180 when it comes to lazy writing. I’m looking at you Rainbow Falls.

SZ: Don’t remind me. Also...the reason why Starlight didn’t like Cutie Marks… it was rather stupid… I mean, her friend got his Cutie Mark first and… wait. I just realized something.

TB: What’s that?

SZ: You recall what happened to Applebloom in the first episode she and the rest of the CMC appeared in?

Silver: Yeah? Oh, you’re talking about Twist getting her Cutie Mark before Applebloom and never appeared as a main character again?

SZ: Something like that. Think about it, if Applebloom never met Sweetie or Scootaloo, she could’ve turned out like Starlight, or something worse if DT and SS kept bullying her.

TB: Joshscorcher pointed that out, and I do see both sides of the argument.

Silver: Anyways, another especially bad con I can say is that they DIDN’T GIVE STARLIGHT A PUNISHMENT EVEN THOUGH SHE ALMOST DESTROYED ALL OF EQUESTRIA!!

TB: I thought you were gonna say they should’ve given her a stronger backstory.

Silver: No. While that’s a bad con, it makes things worse that instead of being thrown in the dungeon for her crimes to alter the timeline all for the sake of revenge, something that the Time Masters especially would hunt her down for, but she ended up joining the Mane 6 as the seventh member! Okay, I don’t mind the Sixth Ranger trope. Hell, some sixth rangers become fan-favorite characters, but when you have a bland, petty, egotistical, self-absorbed b*YAY!* join the team, that’s when I draw the line!!

TB: I don’t think she’ll be a part of the Mane 6, but I do understand her reformation. I just wish it could’ve been better than it turned out. That’s what I want, what we all want, a better backstory and a better reformation for Starlight if the staff wants us to like her.

Silver: Yeah! Y’know what, I’m done with this broad! *gets in a DeLorean and comes back in his Chat d’Argent persona with Rip Hunter from DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Kamen Riders Den-O, Zeronos, and New Den-O* Alright, boys, let’s go cuff her. *they go and arrest Starlight, with her struggling to escape before being thrown into the DeLorean as Rip Hunter takes it to the future* Have fun in Time Jail! >: D

TB: You have no sense of compassion at all. -_-

Chat d’Argent: When it comes to characters like her, I don’t in the slightest. *changes back to being Silver, with a Laser Wisp coming out of him.* Anyways, let’s move onto the good while Tetsu recharges his Hyper-Go-Onger energy.

SZ: Don’t you mean Hyper-Go-On?

Silver: Yeah, so?

SZ: ...Let’s just get to the good.

-The Good-

TB: I liked the multiple alternate timelines it created.

Silver: Yeah, while it did get a bit dull and repetitive at points, it is interesting to see the dark futures that could’ve happened should the Mane 6 have failed in stopping the villains they’ve faced during the past 5 seasons. Though, the Flim Flam Bros. one always confuses me…

TB: It’s stupid-funny.

SZ: Yeah… I liked the multiple timelines as well, and it was interesting to see previous villains make a return, if not for a bit. Though…*frowns a bit* I have PRETTY good feeling who was helping the Flim Flam Bros. in their timeline.

TB: Who might that be?

SZ: Well To Do.

Silver: Well to who?

TB: ...I have never heard of that character, nor do I care.

SZ: He appeared in the IDW MLP comics and… well, he was tearing down the Everfree Forest to build a park/parking lot… WITHOUT Celestia’s permission.

Silver: Well… that’s interesting.

SZ: Not done yet. When he did that, he ended up breaking a treaty between the deer that rule over the forest, which caused them to start attacking Ponyville. Oh, and to add to the list of things Well to Do has done, he made dolls that ‘looked’ like Twilight when he failed to get her on board, he stated that Equestria doesn’t need trees or animals(resulting in angering Futtershy greatly), he kidnapped the Deer King’s son for blackmail (and so he can get him as the park’s mascot)… need I go on?

TB: What the f*YAY!*, dude!?

Silver: Wow… this guy sounds like a real douche.

SZ: Yeah… he won’t be coming back since and I’m not joking, he got eaten by a hydra.

Silver: Well, guess you could say he got his… *puts a pair of sunglasses on* Just Desserts.

*YEAH~!!*

TB: Regardless, despite Silver tearing apart the execution of Starlight’s reformation, I am actually looking forward to her character arc of earning forgiveness. Can you agree on that, Silver? Can’t you see there’s at least one silver lining to this?

Silver: No! She deserves to be in Time Jail where she truly belongs!

TB: -_- …*points to the wall* Corner, now.

Silver: Oh, come on! How can you be defending he-?!

TB: *pulls out a Nerf Sniper Rifle* Get in the f*YAY!*ing corner!

Silver: That’s not even a real weapon. *pulls out the Ichigan Buster from Go-Busters and shoots the Nerf Rifle out of TB’s hands* This is a weapon.

TB: I always look on the bright side of every argument. Yet you won’t give Starlight a chance. It’s like how you were with Diamond Tiara.

Silver: HEY!! I’ve forgiven Diamond Tiara. Now there’s a new target on my hit list. *shoots at a picture of Chloe Bourgeois from Miraculous Ladybug taped to a dart board.*

TB: I’m willing to give Starlight the benefit of the doubt. You will not change my mind.

SZ: I’ve forgiven DT as well… especially after seeing her elitist, racist B*yay*ch of a mother, Spoiled Rich. Starlight… I’m gonna have to see what she does before I forgive her.

Silver: Regardless, TB, this is MY review and you will NOT threaten me on my own review! *TB gets dragged away by Kamen Rider Den-O and Zeronos* Anyways, final score?

-Final Thoughts-

TB: Overall, the episode was okay. It wasn’t all that spectacular like Twilight’s Kingdom, but there was nothing terrible about it. I only wish that Starlight’s reformation was executed stronger, but hey, who knows, fans liked her as a villain, so maybe they’ll like her more in Season 6 like Sunset Shimmer.

Silver: As for me, my thoughts on the episode were more negative. And it’s really a shame too, since I was looking forward to this episode revolving around time travel, since, as you know, I love time travel as a plot point in media… *points to Back to the Future, Blinx, and Chrono Trigger*. The whole thing with Time travel got boring after they went back and forth for the third time, and I have to say it definitely didn’t leave a good taste in my mouth, especially with the reveal of why Starlight is the way she is. I am not looking forward to her in Season 6, as it has been shown that she will play a prominent role in the series. I’m sorry, guys, but for all the potential that she might have, Starlight just ruins it for me…

SZ: For me...I thought it was ok, but I feel it was the second weakest of the season finales. I liked the multiple timeline things, but… Starlight’s backstory and quick redemption ruined it for me. If there’s one thing Chrono Trigger, Den-O, and Dark Cloud 2 has taught me, You don’t! Mess! With time! There are major consequences when that happens, especially in Dark Cloud 2!

TB: Some characters hit it off well with fans, others don’t. Starlight’s reformation is split down the middle like the moral of Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep, or the reviews of Man of Steel.

SZ: *nods* So what score shall we give this episode? A 3? Or 3.5 out of 5?

Silver: I give it a C-. I just really didn’t like this episode.

TB: I’ll be generous and give it a 2.5 to 3 out of 5 for being just ‘meh’.

SZ: I give it a 3. It’s good, but not too good. Would’ve been higher if not for Starlight’s backstory and redemption.

TB: Yeah, we’d definitely have more appreciation for the episode if the execution of those things were stronger. Yeah, I think we’ve already discussed that well enough and in great detail in our lengthy review.

Silver: Yep. Anyways, this has been Silver Maxus, the Radiant Rider…

TB: ...the Lone Rider, TokuBrony…

SZ: And Seanzilla115/9999, the… uh… oh! Azure Dragoon!

Silver & TB: Huh?

SZ:...it mixes my love for dragons, and my favorite fighting game series, Blazblue.

Silver: Hey, it works. Anyways, we’ll see ya’ll later! Stand up the Vanguard!

TB: SEIYAA!!

SZ: Jaa ne, and have a good day, min’na-san.

Silver: And now… I should probably let out Starlight before a time paradox is caused. She’ll be like River Song, getting out of Time Jail for episode time, and then going back in. That sounds fair, right?

TB: Do what you think is right. Oh and one more thing, sorry for threatening you.

Silver: It’s fine. Just remember, I have a way of putting you down if you attack me. *rides off into the sunset on the DenBird motorcycle from Den-O, before disappearing*

TB: I’ll never be able to read that guy. Regardless, catch you later Sean. *walks off*

SZ: K. Later guys. Now…*goes back to games before picking up Blazblue: Chronophantasma Extend* To beat up an even more manipulative jerk… you hear that, Terumi! I’m coming for you, ya snake b*yay*tard!!
Let's just say... I have a LOT to say regarding this episode. For those who don't like rants, turn away now. Special thanks to :iconseanzilla9999: and :iconanimetokubrony: for helping me with this.
